Elite Relief Somalia (ERS) has operational presence and experience in the greater South and Central Regions of Somalia. The organization has an aspiration to expand its operational scope into other regions in the area. ERS pursues a rights based approach grounded on the belief that people are entitled to basic conditions of living with dignity and access to opportunity and dignity, as a basis of fulfilling their human potential.

ERS therefore seeks to stimulate sustainable developmental change amongst vulnerable communities living in the South and central regions of Somalia. ERS’s mandate and core Mission is facilitating community development. These ambitions are realized through (core strategies of) knowledge transfer, influencing, brokering linkages and facilitating/ implementing integrated community centered humanitarian and development programs. The main developmental approach of ERS is enabling the communities find solutions to their socio-economic challenges.

ERS has an impressive track record and experience in implementing community programs in Peace building, Governance; Education; Livelihoods and Food Security; Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Nutrition and Health. Additionally, human rights, gender and environment have over time been addressed by ERS as cross- cutting issues. The main target groups of ERS include vulnerable and marginalized Argo-Pastoralist (individuals, families, groups and communities).

ERS is above all determined to remain caring and empathetic throughout in work in Somalia ERS has a well-defined and functional internal organizational structure. ERS works through a number of well and beyond. resourced (staff, infrastructure, equipment’s) field offices. Policy and strategic guidance, leadership and oversight are offered by a diverse and competent Board of Directors (BOD).
